Boxing Enthusiasts Thrill at Mama Ngina Waterfront in Year-End Tournament

MOMBASA, Kenya – Hundreds of boxing enthusiasts and holidaymakers gathered at the picturesque Mama Ngina Waterfront Drive for a thrilling one-day boxing tournament, held against the backdrop of the stunning Indian Ocean. This high-energy event, marking the final boxing showdown of 2024, was sponsored by the Mombasa County Directorate of Liquor Control and Licensing, in collaboration with the Mombasa County Department of Youth and Sports and the Mombasa County Boxing Association. The tournament, held under the theme #NdondiMashinani, attracted boxing fans from all walks of life who cheered on local talent and celebrated the vibrant sports culture in the coastal city. Special recognition was given to the esteemed guests who graced the event, including Waziri Mohammed Osman, Mahmoud Noor, Hon. Badi Twalib Bady, Amina Abdalla, and Mr. Chrispine Onyango, Secretary General of the Mombasa County Boxing Association. Their unwavering support and commitment to grassroots boxing made this event a resounding success. As the sun set on the scenic waterfront, the tournament not only highlighted Mombasa’s love for sports but also reinforced its commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting community-driven activities.
