AFBC Issues Cease and Desist Letter to General Luyoyo Over Unlawful Claims and Unauthorized Activities

The African Boxing Confederation (AFBC), under the leadership of President Eyassu Wossen, has issued a formal cease and desist letter to General Luyoyo, demanding an immediate halt to a series of unauthorized actions.

According to the letter, General Luyoyo is accused of falsely claiming the title of AFBC President, unlawfully using the organization's official logo and identity, and maintaining control of the AFBC's official website without authorization. Additionally, he is alleged to have issued communications and organized activities misrepresenting themselves as originating from the AFBC.

The letter highlights that these actions were condemned during the AFBC Ordinary Congress held in Dubai on December 6, 2024. It also notes that the AFBC Ethics Committee has suspended General Luyoyo, further reinforcing the illegality of his claims and actions.

The AFBC has demanded that General Luyoyo immediately relinquish control of the federation's website and hand over all login credentials. Failure to comply, the letter warns, will result in legal action, including claims for damages, legal costs, and other remedies permitted by law.

This decisive move underscores AFBC's commitment to protecting its integrity, legal rights, and reputation within the global boxing community.
